The MTRH stand at the Eldoret ASK show

It was with great jubilation at the Arena of the Eldoret Agricultural Society of Kenya show, when Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Director, Prof. Haroun Mengech  received the trophy for the Best Non-Agricultural Sector Statutory stand from his Excellency the President Hon. Mwai Kibaki.

The trophy was a great relief to the staff who put in much work at the Hospital stand to ensure that everything was in order and met the requirements of the judges.

The representatives from various departments that included; Housekeeping, Public Health, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, VCT, Dental, Car-e, Accident and Emergency, Consultant Clinics, Laboratory, Family Planning, Nutrition, Health Records and Information System among others showcased hospital services. Also at the exhibition was AMPATH program, Eldoret Hospice and Regional Blood Transfusion centre.

The long awaited exhibition opportunity having been suspended for 2 years was held amid fears that it might not take off. The Eldoret Agricultural Show which ran from 10th March 2010 to 13th March 2010 was officially opened by his Excellency the President Hon. Mwai Kibaki.

Among those who accompanied the Hospital Director were Deputy Director Clinical Services Dr. Omar Aly, DDF&A Agunda Ochanda, ADDCS Dr. Wilson Aruasa, Ms. L. Koros and Mrs.Nyariki.
