Soon after the presentation, the Directorate of Human Resources and Capacity Development (HRCD) responded to issues touching on performance appraisal, recognition and awards, promotions and medical cover.
The Directorate of HRCD promised to address communication issues by improving on the feedback mechanism to staff and proper channeling of information. The Human Resource and Capacity Development Manager, Angela Koech, said that HR policies have now been drafted to address performance appraisal and promotions at MTRH and that an improved scheme of service will be implemented soon.
She thanked the QA team for sharing their findings with staff at the CPD. Ms. Koech urged employees to participate in future surveys.
“Most employers who are keen on staff welfare, carry out employee satisfaction surveys. MTRH carries out employee survey amongst its employees annually to assess their satisfaction levels. A happy employee equals a satisfied client,” She said.
