Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) is finalizing its five-year Strategic Plan (2012-2017) in line with the Constitution and the Kenya’s Vision 2030.The Strategic Plan will lay a framework upon which the Hospital will achieve its intended objectives and aspirations for the next five years.

To carry out its mandate efficiently, MTRH has been working out on how to harmonize its activities. MTRH seeks to provide the necessary framework to realize its core objectives.

The Hospital has defined its Vision and Mission Statements that are premised on its core values and developed strategies to be translated into measurable activities and targets which will chart a new direction for the Hospital.

A meeting held at the Noble Resort on August 31, 2012 led by the Hospital’s Director, Dr. John Kibosia and the Senior Management, lauded those who contributed to the success of the Strategic Plan.

“This plan provides the framework for decision-making and helps to explain the Hospital’s mandate,” he said.

The document will also serve as a building block for the current and future development of the Hospital and performance monitoring.

MTRH is committed to implementing and operationalizing the Strategic Plan through preparation of Annual Work Plans by the Departments and Individuals.

The next stage is for the Draft Strategic Plan to be submitted to the Board for appropriate deliberations before its final approval for implementation.
