Hospital in Joint Medical Camp with SOS School-Eldoret
Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital joined other health institutions on 23rd June, 2012 to offer medical support to the community at the SOS School Eldoret.
The event was attended by over 3000 people drawn from adjoining neighborhoods of Munyaka and Kapsoya. Others were drawn from Huruma and Langas.Clinicians, Customer Care Officers, Nutritionists and Dentists from MTRH took part in the day-long event.
Sabatia Eye Clinic also participated in the provision of eye services that attracted 800 people with eyesight complications.
“The previous medical camps have never attracted such large numbers. This is a sign of confidence on MTRH and other medical providers,” said one of the officials at the SOS-Eldoret.
According to the officials, many people turned up for the free examination and treatment because they could not afford treatment at the mainstream Hospitals’.
Patients with complicated conditions were referred to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital for further management.
MTRH attaches great importance to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) since it is an opportunity of interacting with its clients as well as giving back to the community.
