German Envoy Tours MTRH
The German Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Hellwig-Boette and her entourage toured the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital on August 9, 2012.
Accompanied by officials from the embassy, Boette visited the Centre for Assault Recovery-Eldoret (CAR-E), which is funded by the German Technical Cooperation (GIZ) before paying a courtesy call to the Hospital Administration that was led by a Consultant Paeditrician,Dr. David Chumba.
She visited the Riley Mother and Baby Hospital before concluding with a stakeholder’s meeting at the Boardroom.Officials from CAR-E and the Legal Aid Centre of Eldoret (LACE) made brief presentations to the Ambassador.
The envoy had earlier visited a number of projects funded in and around Eldoret that receive funding from the Federal Republic of Germany.
“The embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya the assurance of its highest consideration,” read a communique from the embassy.H.E. Boette said that her country would continue to support similar initiatives in future through the GIZ and the German Development Bank.
