The eighth Internal Audit for Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital’s Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001:2008 Standard kicked off on July 4, 2011. The Hospital is the only public hospital which is ISO certified in Kenya.

The purpose of the audit is to check for continual improvement of the QMS, evaluate the effectiveness of corrective actions put in place and to test out the success of the QMS.

The auditors will be conducting the audit based on the ISO 9001:2008 Standards, the Quality Work Procedures and all the documents related to the Standard.

The audit is expected to end and be closed on Friday, July 8, 2011.
