Hospital Joins Church Of Mormons in Tree Planting
Staff from the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital joined the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints at the weekend for a tree planting and clean-up exercise at the Hospital.The over 100 youth planted at least 500 trees.These were part of the activities lined up for the AFRICA WIDE MORMON HELPING HANDS DAY.
The procession started from the Eldoret Municipal Council (EMC) grounds and was flagged off by His Worship the Mayor, Councillor William Rono.The Hospital has enjoyed a cordial working relationship with the Church of Mormons over the years.
The Regional Blood Transfusion Centre (RBTC) pitched tent at the Nyayo grounds where over 30 people donated blood.Others who took part in the day-long exercise included; Kenya Forest Services, Kenya Police, Eldoret Youth Centre, and Mount Kenya University.
